Lincoln County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company seeks a broad-based Board that includes both employed and retired professionals. The Directors guide the Company’s policy direction to ensure that we accomplish our mission. A Director does their best to help provide the best possible insurance and service at the best possible cost. It is beneficial for a Board Member to understand insurance, finance, government regulations, consumer needs, technological advances, and market competition. As a Board member, you would regularly attend seminars, educational courses, conventions, and meetings to increase your knowledge of the insurance industry.

Qualifications:

To be a Director, a person must be a policyholder of the company and be able to fulfill the attendance needs, duties, and responsibilities the role requires.

The Directors are elected by a majority vote of the members voting at the annual meeting. The annual meeting is held on the third Saturday of March of each calendar year.

To apply to serve as a Director on the Board for Lincoln County Farmers Mutual Insurance, complete the application attached below and submit it to the Company Manager within the filing period. Application filing opens 33 days prior to the annual meeting and closes at 4:00 pm, three (3) days prior to the annual meeting.

Sean O’Brien

President

Sean was appointed to the Board of Directors in July of 2021. In 2026, he accepted to serve as President of the Board. Sean has served the public for over 24 years as a County Highway Supervisor & Presiding Commissioner. He also served 18 years on the Lincoln County R-II School Board and is a former member of the Booneslick Regional Planning Commission. Sean also served as a board member for the Lincoln County Farm Bureau. Sean is currently a self-employed farmer and looks forward to contributing his time serving our company and policyholders.

Kimberly Lietman

Vice President

Kim joined the Board of Directors in June of 2023, being appointed to complete the term due to a vacancy. With her clerical, farming, and general life skills, she has proven to be a great asset. Kim accepted the nomination as Vice President in April of 2024 and continues to serve in this capacity. Kim states that serving on a board takes teamwork and that, as a team player, she has enjoyed being part of the decision-making and seeing the company continue to thrive and grow. Her people skills and background in agriculture, owning and operating Cuivre River Cattle Company, bring great value to both the policyholders and the company.

Charles Watson

Secretary/Treasurer

Charles has been a proud Board member for 35 years. He states that the most meaningful part of being a Board of Directors member with LCFM is having the opportunity to help provide service to people who are in need of insurance. Charles has been living in Lincoln County for 73 years and currently farms. He also serves as a Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church.

Chuck has been a Lincoln County Resident for 50 years and was elected to the Board in 2014. Chuck spends as much time as possible with his 2 grandsons and enjoys farming, raising cattle, hunting, and racing homing pigeons. He has raced his pigeons from as far as Shamrock, Texas! Chuck is also very active in his church, St. Mary’s in Hawk Point. He has served as President of the Board during his time with us. He is delighted to be a part of a hometown company that has endured and prospered for over 100 years.

BOBBI

Bobbi Kadlec

In 2017, Bobbi joined the Board of Directors. Bobbi was born and raised in Lincoln County. Her favorite part of the LCFM Board of Directors is getting to know her fellow board members and the office staff. During her time on the board, she has served as Board President. She appreciates that everyone works together to serve Insureds needs. Outside of being a board member, Bobbi is active in Moscow Mills United Methodist Church and enjoys scrapbooking.

Randy Tiefenthaler

Randy is a lifelong resident of Troy and was recently elected to the Board of Directors. Growing up with a father who was a policyholder, he developed an early appreciation for the role Lincoln County Farmers Mutual plays in protecting families and property in the community.

Randy brings nearly 40 years of experience in the insurance and investment industry, including serving as General Manager of Bent Oak Mutual for 10 years. His background, along with his roots in farming south of Moscow Mills, provides valuable insight and perspective as he serves the company and its policyholders.

Randy joined us in 2026 and looks forward to contributing to a company with deep local roots and a long-standing commitment to serving its policyholders and community.

Kenneth Schulte

Member

Kenneth has been a lifelong Missouri resident and has deep roots in Lincoln County, where his family history spans more than a century. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors in 2026 and has been affiliated with Lincoln County Farmers Mutual Insurance since 2021.

Kenneth brings a strong background in public service and leadership. He retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol after more than 26 years of service, where he held several roles including road officer, criminal investigator, narcotics investigator, and polygraphist. He also served on the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. His career included assisting in major investigations and disaster response efforts, as well as leadership within professional associations.

He currently serves as the Lincoln County Clerk, where he oversees elections, financial operations, human resources, and county records. His experience managing complex systems and serving the public brings valuable insight to the board and its mission.

Daniel Gooding

Retired Board Member

Dan became a Board member in 2005 and has lived in Lincoln County since September 1967. He enjoys gardening, raising cattle, playing cards, and being active in his church. He enjoyed spending time with his fellow board and staff members and having an active part in keeping the company on track. Dan stated that our mission to provide affordable and efficient insurance to people is what’s most meaningful to him. Daniel moved to board retirement in 2026 after 20 years of wisdom, humor, and guidance.

Alfred Gibson

Retired Board Member

Alfred has been a Lincoln County native for his entire life. We welcomed him to the Board of Directors in 2015. Some of his hobbies are his involvement with horses and hunting. Alfred appreciates the relationships he has made with other Board members and considers them all friends. He says that the best part of LCFM is the personal service and good rates that Insureds receive, as well as the rural atmosphere that the company was founded upon. Retiring from the board in 2026, his steady presence will be missed.

Paul has been residing in Lincoln County for almost 75 years and has been active on the LCFM Board of Directors since 2009. He has enjoyed making life-long friends with other Board Members and appreciates how the staff and Board are all down to Earth. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, gardening, and traveling to Alaska. Paul is proud to be involved in a company that has been successfully serving policyholders for over 100 years and will continue to provide quality service to Insureds for many years to come.

James Mayes

Retired Board Member – 5/2021

James “Jim” Mayes retired as President of the Board of Directors following our annual meeting on March 20th, 2021. He then retired from the board in May 2021. Jim served as a valued member of the board for 21 years. In 2005, he was nominated as an officer, filling the position of Treasurer till 2012 when he accepted the nomination as President.

Jim and his wife Louise are lifelong residents of Lincoln County, happily married for over 57 years, raising 3 children. They are now grandparents to several grandchildren. Jim retired from the Public School System as an Administrator in Elsberry, MO. Other valuable experiences brought to our board stem from serving as County Commissioner, serving on the board for Cuivre River Electric Trust, Senior Housing, and the Nursing Home Boards. Jim continues to be very active within his community while farming his ground near Elsberry.

Jim had stated his favorite part of serving as a member of our Board of Directors was having the opportunity to offer a valuable public service to the community and connecting with other board members and staff.
