When it comes to yard maintenance, people tend to overapply fertilizer to shady areas because the grass is struggling. But that just kills it faster! A lawn in full sun vs. a shaded lawn have different water & fertilizer needs
Grass in the shady areas need less water & fertilizer because there is less evaporation and less sun. When spreading your fertilizer, shift the controls on the spreader so you’re spreading at least half the amount when in the shady areas.
